Clean and tidy are not the same thing.

01Where it hides

Kitchen

Behind and beneath units, the extractor filter, fridge and freezer seals, and the chopping surfaces.

Bathrooms

Grout, sealant and plugholes. Mould in sealant needs treating and leaving to work, not scrubbing off the surface.

Bedrooms

Mattresses, carpets and curtains. These hold dust and are almost never cleaned between deep cleans.

Living rooms

Sofas and rugs, which absorb everything a family brings in and release it slowly.

None of this is visible. All of it is what the word deep in deep clean is doing.

02How often, realistically

One or two adults, no pets

Every six months is plenty.

A family with young children

Every three to four months.

Pets in the house

Every two to three months, mainly for upholstery and carpet.

Someone with allergies or asthma

More often, and concentrated on soft furnishings and mattresses rather than surfaces.

We are not going to make health claims about cleaning. If someone in your house has asthma or an allergy, their clinician is the right person to ask what helps. What we can say is that dust and allergens accumulate in soft furnishings and that removing them is what we do.

03What we bring, and what we do not

Every product we use has a COSHH data sheet and we will show you them. Every person we send has been DBS checked before their first attendance. If you have young children, pets, or a preference about what is used in your house, tell us at the assessment and it goes into the specification.
