Cookie Policy
Version: 1.3 | Last reviewed: 24 August 2026
01Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how Cleanfinity Limited uses cookies and similar technologies on this website. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
We use cookies in accordance with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the UK General Data Protection Regulation.
02The short version
When you first visit, we ask whether you accept cookies. If you decline, nothing non-essential is stored and the site works exactly the same. If you accept, we can see which pages are useful and whether our advertising is working. You can change your answer at any time using Cookie settings in the footer.
03What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help sites work properly and can tell the site owner how the site is being used.
- Session cookies
- Deleted when you close your browser.
- Persistent cookies
- Stored on your device for a defined period.
04Strictly necessary cookies
These are needed for the site to function and are set without consent, as PECR allows. They support secure access, submitting a form, page navigation, load balancing and fraud prevention.
We also store your cookie choice itself, so we are not asking you the same question on every page. That preference is kept for six months, after which we ask again.
05Analytics cookies
If you accept, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the website is being used.
- What we learn
- How many people visit, how they arrived, which pages they read, and whether they went on to make an enquiry.
- What we do with it
- Decide which pages deserve more work and which are not earning their place.
- Your IP address
- Anonymised before it is stored.
Nothing is set until you accept. If you decline, Google's tag runs in a restricted mode that sets no cookies and cannot identify you.
06Advertising cookies
If you accept, we may use Google Ads and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) advertising tools.
- Why
- To know whether an advert we paid for actually led to an enquiry, rather than guessing.
- What that means
- You may see Cleanfinity adverts on other websites or in social feeds after visiting us.
- What we never do
- Sell your data, or share anything that identifies you personally with an advertiser.
If you decline, these tools are not loaded at all — not restricted, not present.
07Third parties
Our website is hosted by Netlify, which may set strictly necessary cookies for security and load balancing. Where you have accepted, Google and Meta set the cookies described above under their own privacy terms.
08Changing your mind
You can change or withdraw consent at any time.
- Use Cookie settings, in the footer of every page
- Or clear cookies for this site in your browser, which resets the question
Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and we ask again every six months regardless.
09Browser controls
Most browsers let you delete cookies, block them, or warn you before one is stored. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site, such as the contact form, from working.
10Updates to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in law, technology, or how the website works. Where a change affects what we set on your device, we update this page before the change goes live and ask for consent again.
