180 Great Portland Street
A West End headquarters cleaned daily to a signed specification. The contract has more than doubled since it began.
What we did, and what it changed.
The job
A technology company taking a floor in a shared West End building, opening in January 2026. We were brought in for the pre-opening deep clean — the one that has to be finished before anyone walks in, around a fit-out that is still being signed off.
It went well enough that the deep clean became a contract, and the contract became a Workplace Partner account running at around 150 service hours a month.
What changed
The scope has more than doubled since it started. Not because we asked, but because the account kept absorbing work the client had been handling separately.
The team on the building has not changed since the first day. That is the whole argument of this website, demonstrated in one account: the same people, on the same site, working to the same signed specification.
The contract has more than doubled since it began. The team has not changed once.

Questions people ask about this kind of job.
Will we get the same people every week?
How does the scope change without renegotiating the contract?
We are one tenant in a shared building. Does that complicate things?
What happens when someone is on holiday or off sick?
Other projects
The contract more than doubled. The team never changed.
Those two sentences are related, and the order matters. Scope grew because the client stopped having to explain the building to a new person every few months.
The same faces, or none of this works
A specification is a document until someone knows that the third meeting room is booked at eight, that the kitchen tap drips, that Thursday is the busy day. That knowledge lives in people, and it leaves when they do.
Scope grows by absorption, not negotiation
This account kept taking on work the client had been arranging separately — periodic carpet, washroom consumables, one-off deep cleans. Not because we pitched, but because it was easier to hand to the team already in the building.
A shared building has more parties, not more excuses
Landlord, managing agent, other tenants, and a lift everyone shares. That is coordination work, and it is ours to do rather than something to explain a missed visit with.
Start with a walk of your building.
Forty-five minutes with the person who would manage your account, and a written proposal within 48 hours. Nothing to prepare, and no obligation at the end of it.
